Mission Statement

To provide a medium for all Americans to support each other by voicing their concerns, fears, frustrations, stories, tips/strategies, and advise regarding the serious fuel price crisis we are all enduring, and to provide an avenue for all Americans to form a unified voice which our government cannot ignore.

Who We Are

Hosercles
I am a 31 year old Sales and Project Manager from Schaumburg, IL. I share responsibility for writing content, moderating the forums, and general site creativity and ideas. I drive about 40 miles each way to get to and from work, plus another 40 miles each way to get my son on weekends (I’m divorced and re-married), so these fuel prices are really digging it in hard. My car only takes premium fuel to boot, so I’m spending nearly $400/month on gas alone. I figured this site would be a good way to reach out to people who are going through the same thing I am, as well as to see how others are dealing with it. I’m hoping that if nothing else, we’ll make a bunch of friends on the site, and hopefully make our voice heard to the government through our petition.

Junior
I am 22 years old, and am currently doing graphic design and web design to pay the bills and painting and drawing in my free time. I am art director of the site and all of the artwork currently on the site is mine. I have a pretty hefty drive to work (40 miles) and my girlfriend also lives pretty far out of the way. So, unless I want to quit my job and dump my girlfriend, I am going to have to deal with the serious effects of rising gas prices. The aim of this site is to involve everyone who feels these effects (and who doesn’t?) in a collaborative effort to provide support for each other and voice our concerns to the powers that be. Sign the petition, share your stories and help us bring some sanity back to the gas station.

Lowtek
I am a 33 year old Systems Engineer and handle all the technical aspects for the site, as well as contributing some commentary and articles. I’m married with two children and my daily commute is 84 miles round trip. Throw in carting the kids around to hockey games, ballet practice, swim meets, etc. as I am sure a lot of you do, and the costs just add up. The added impact of rising food costs has really put a dent in the family’s bottom line. I’m not trying to lay a sob story here, just letting you know we’re all in the same boat. I got involved with the site in order to share frustrations, ideas, stir up a little civil unrest and maybe have some fun too. I welcome you to join in and share your thoughts, mostly so I can pass off any good ideas as my own.

Smokey
I am a 31 year old web developer from Gurnee, IL. I am the lead developer and will handle all aspects of developing the site and dynamic content for GPH. I have been involved in creating other high traffic websites including: Puggle.org & DogBreed.org. I'd really like to say that gas prices are not affecting me personally, but that would be an outright lie. Gas prices are affecting me in every aspect of my life not just at the pump. With the gas price crisis comes the fact that I have less money to spend on some of the basic necessities. I encourage everyone to let your voice be heard by signing the GPH petition.
